DC unveils artwork ahead of Pride month issues

April 15, 2022 · By

DC Comics has released a preview of the DC Pride 2022 issue including the cover (by Phil Jimenez & Arif Pritanto) and several variants for upcoming issues. The main book, Super Pride by Devin Greyson, hits stands on May 31.

The special, 104-page anthology comic will feature LGBTQIA+ characters from all over the extended DC Comics universe. DC Pride 2022 #1 won’t be the only special issue released to celebrate LGBT2Q+ community, not just in June, but throughout the year, including releasing rainbow-coloured, Pride-themed covers of some of the most popular titles from Nightwing, Superman, Harley Quinn and more.

So far we have early artwork for variant covers going beyond the usual suspects, Son of Kal-El featuring bisexual Jonathan Kent and his boyfriend (David Talaski), as well as a Nightwing cover (by Nick Robles) and Action Comics #1044 (by Derek Charm).
