Ted Lasso and Hacks two big winners in 2021 Emmys

September 19, 2021 · By

Fresh new shows picked up awards in this years Television Emmys, including Apple TV+ hit Ted Lasso and smart-witted comedy, Hacks. This year is stiff competition for a lot of awards.

While The Crown and the Mandalorian are tied with the most nominations, that doesn’t guarantee wins, especially with so many great shows from the last year. The Crown swept the Drama series category with a single exception for Guest actor going to George Freeman for Lovecraft County, while Ted Lasso picked up Outstanding Comedy series.

For Outstanding Television Movie, Uncle Frank lost out to Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square, which we’ve not heard of… and likely won’t be rushing to watch. Uncle Frank was good though.
